Another Hero Gone
When I was 5 years old I wanted to up to be MCA in the worst way. My brother, his friend and I would always get really excited when Fight For Your Right To Party or No Sleep till Brooklyn would come on MTV. They always made me be Mike D but MCA ruled my world with his leather jacket, stubble and raspy voice. I was in awe when he blew away all those marshall stacks with a machine gun while wearing aviators and when I heard he had The Beastie Boys banned from Holiday Inns across the country for jumping off a balcony into the pool (I always envisioned him in that moment wearing tighty whiteys and one sock.) I also once wore a gorilla costume and danced on the hood of my fathers yellow Buick AKA the Banana Mobile to my brothers Licensed to Ill cassette to promote my big brothers cub scout car wash in front of the Woodstock Elementary school. He was a major influence on the way I turned out today and I am very thankful for that. I hope they got White Castle where he's going. R.I.P. Brothers
